Webelo Scouts complete Arrow of Light requirements
Six Webelos Scouts completed their Arrow of Light requirements and moved on to Boy Scouts at Pack 395’s recent meeting. The Arrow of Light is the highest Cub Scout award. It is presented to Cub Scouts who have completed the Webelos rank and prepares them to become members of a Scouts BSA troop. The Scouts are pictured as they are about to “cross the bridge” to Boy Scouts.
They are, from the left: Steven Dillabough, Caleb Rayhorn, Christian Hausman, and Eero Rutz. Not present were Gage DuBord and Tyker Touchinski. Also, shown are Dewey Jones, Pack Committee Chair and Jim Hausmann, Webelos Den Leader.
Also at the meeting, new Scouts Jackson Dillabough and Sylvia Gillette received their Bobcat badges; Bear Scouts Huxley Hokenson, Jay Jansen, Gabriel Kreitner, and James Larson earned the Paws for Action belt loop for Duty to Country; and Theodore Hokenson was awarded the Cast Iron pin.
The den winners of the recent Pack Pinewood Derby were recognized: Best Design-Jakob Schaedig: Speed- Overall- 1st Anders Summersett, 2nd Jakob Schaedig, 3rd Eero Rutz; Lions- 1st Anders Summersett, 2nd Matthew Sholander, Tigers- 1st Lucas Iery, 2nd Silas Pesola; Wolf- 1st Evan Sholander, 2nd Lucas Vargas; Bear 1st Jacob Schaedig, 2nd Charlotte Lester; Webelos 1s- 1st Davida Fortin, 2nd Jude Simms; Webelos 2s- 1st Eero Rutz, 2nd Christian Hausmann.
Scouts who participated in the recent overnight at Camp Rokilio near Keil, Wisconsin, received patches. The males stayed in a castle and the girls in a Viking ship.
The next meeting of the pack will be April 26 at 6:30 at Presque Isle.
New members are welcome at this meeting, especially if they are interested in attending Camp Hiawatha with the pack from July 31 to Aug. 3.
