Velodrome Coffee Company has a ribbon-cutting at Ishpeming shop
ISHPEMING — The Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon cutting Thursday to celebrate the opening of Velodrome Coffee Company in downtown Ishpeming.
The event was attended by owners, Brice and Teagan Sturmer, GINCC Executive Director, Bob Hendrickson and GINCC board members, Craig Cugini, Nate Heffron, Angela Hentkowski, Kristin Knapp and Ryan LaMere.
Velodrome Ishpeming is located at 109 S Main St.
The GINCC press release states: “The beautifully refurbished storefront houses a coffee shop and the company’s roasting facility.”
Coffee roasted by Velodrome in the west end of Marquette County can be found at an increasingly wide range of coffee shops, restaurants and grocery stores.
Velodrome Coffee Company was founded in Marquette. The company began selling its product online in 2016 and opened a storefront on Washington Street the following year.
Velodrome held a soft opening at its Ishpeming location on Feb. 20. The grand opening was set to take place Sunday.
