U.P. Home Health & Hospice and U.P. Private Duty Services announces the organization’s 2022 Employees of the Year
MARQUETTE — U.P. Home Health & Hospice and U.P. Private Duty Services recently announced the organization’s 2022 Employees of the Year.
These annual awards are based on peer nominations and specific criteria, which includes a commitment to quality patient care, teamwork, and professional development. Each of the recipients was presented with a monetary award and plaque in recognition of their outstanding service and is recognized on a plaque on display at the agency.
≤ Diane Champion, RN, a four-year veteran of the agency, was named the Direct Care Staff Employee of the Year. Diane has been described as a wonderful skilled nurse and great co-worker, always has a smile and is willing to help anybody. The press release about the awards states: “Diane has gone above and beyond on an ongoing basis. She consistently demonstrates positivity in trying to find solutions and insight for needed improvements.” And “Diane is a good role model for other staff, has great ideas to share and her knowledge and skills are a great asset.”
“She is always picking up extra admit visits to help accommodate patient needs.” Diane hardly ever tells anybody ‘no,’ and she is always willing to help out when needed — no matter what — and she does it with a smile on her face. We are blessed to have Diane as a member of our team!”
≤ Kaitlyn Keto, Clinical Support Services clerk, hired in 2020,is 2022 Non-Direct Care Staff Employee of the Year . The release states: “Kaitlyn is a hard worker with the ambition to get the job done. She has a positive attitude and can always make people around her laugh, bringing much positive influence on the work environment.”
“Kaitlyn always brightens your day whether in person or on the phone with her cheerful attitude and smile, you can even hear her smile on the phone. With the stresses of life — it can make all the difference in the world!” Kaitlyn is always supportive and quick to help in any way she can. Her personality and attitude are infectious, no matter how busy and overwhelming the days may seem. “I always know things will be taken care of when Kaitlyn is around.” “Kaitlyn is such an asset to our organization; we are thankful to have her!”
≤ Melissa Diercks, private duty aide, was named Private Duty Employee of the Year. Melissa has amazing work ethics and a caring attitude. She has worked for us for over 2 years. Melissa is always willing to help the clients in whatever they need her to do, and they have stated that she has helped tremendously with so many different things that they could not do on their own anymore. Many clients have commented on her upbeat attitude she has which helps the client feel better when they are having a down day. Melissa is always willing to pick up visits and help with coverage sometimes last minute anytime she is available. Melissa truly goes above and beyond for the agency and for the clients with a great attitude! We are lucky to have her as a member of our Private Duty family.
