MARQUETTE — On Saturday, Dec. 18 in cemeteries across the United States, wreaths were laid on the graves of veterans to remember them for their service to our country.

Members of the local Onagomingkway Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, Lac Vieux Desert Trail Society, National Society Children of the American Revolution, and Northern Michigan Chapter, National Society Sons of the American Revolution gathered at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Marquette to participate.

More than 100 wreaths were laid, twice as many as 2020, with the goal to honor every veteran grave at the cemetery in the next year.
