American Legion supports Jacobetti Home

The American Legion Family of Marquette strives to contribute to the care and comfort of veterans recently by donating a Nu-Step Cross Trainer. Seen here presenting a check to Jacobetti Administrator Ron Oja (back), Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Johnson (from right), Director of Nursing Cary Lincoln, and Director of Restorative Services Samantha Knuttila are (from left) District 12 Commander Carl Morrison, Post 44 Adjutant Tom Ranta, Sons of the American Legion Member Bruce Wentela, and Auxiliary 1st Vice President Linda Kaare. “At the Michigan Veteran Homes D. J. Jacobetti, we work diligently to provide an excellent quality of life for our veterans. We are thrilled to receive this donation for a brand new NuStep machine for our Physical Therapy gym. We appreciate the generous support of American Legion Post 44 Family and are excited that our veterans at the MVHDJJ will have access to high quality equipment.” stated Sarah Johnson. The Legion family would like to thank the Marquette community for their support of our fundraising projects. Much of the funding for this donation came from the last can/bottle drive.
