Girl Scouts plant garden at township office

Chocolay Junior Girl Scout Troop 5055 planted a new native perennial pollinator garden at the township office. The girls are working towards earning their Bronze Award which is the highest award a Junior Girl Scout can earn. The garden contains native perennial plants that they purchased from Designs by Nature of Harvey. They will be installing butterfly houses to the garden. They used recycled glass as the mulch for the garden that was provided by the Marquette recycling center. The girls working on the project are Alexis Barsch, Lindsay Gustafson, Olivia Koren, Sarah Busscher and Hailey Hofer.
