 A virtual Pack meeting
In this picture from 2019, Pack 395 Committee Chair recognizes top seller Jude Simms who is the top seller for two years in a row.

MARQUETTE –Cub Scout Pack 395 which serves Graveraet and Sandy Knoll neighborhoods recently recognized the Scouts who participated in the annual sale of Pecatonica River Popcorn.

Total for the sale was $11,495, an average of $638 per Scout.

The Scouts had to adapt to the COVID 19 environment.

The “Show and Sell” effort in businesses was converted to drive up locations in parking lots at Super One in Marquette and Snyder Drugs in Harvey. This yielded $1,025.

Online sales result in $1,850 as Scouts used social media to make contacts and sell specialty popcorn products.

Finally, 17 Scouts sold $8,620 in the no-contact, take-order sale using doorhangers and phone calls.

The Pack receives approximately 35% of the sale which funds its activities, awards, handbooks, Boys Life magazines, and registration fees for the year plus contributes to the Summer Camp costs.

Approximately the same amount goes to support the programs, services, and facilities of the Bay Lakes Council including Camp Hiawatha.

The top salesperson in the Pack was Jude Simms with sales of $1,370 in sales.

Other “Super Sellers” selling over $1,000 were Caleb Rayhorn, Andrian Garcia, and Eero Rutz.

In the Top Seller category for selling $500 to $999 were Eli Schjenkin, Anton Voigt, Hudson Jones, Huxley Hokenson, and Theodore Hokenson.

The Superhero Seller who sold up to $500 were Jay Jansen, Karsten Andrus, Eva Dombrowski, Christian Hausmann, Charlotte Lester, Karsyn Nord, Oliver Hartman, Alex Nadeau, and Oliver Nadeau.

Pack Popcorn Chair Eric Voigt and Treasurer Shay Simmons were recognized for their exceptional efforts made to adopt to the COVID environment.

Also, appreciation was given to Super One and Snyder Drugs.
