Once Upon a Crime set to meet
MARQUETTE — Once Upon a Crime, the book group for mystery lovers, will meet in the Dandelion Cottage Room at the Peter White Public Library at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss “Blacklands” by Belinda Bauer.
Convinced that her son is still alive despite a serial killer’s confession, Billy’s mother waits by the window for his return. Hoping to bring some closure to the family, Stephen, her 12-year-old grandson, makes it his mission to find his uncle’s body. Part of the “They Took the Prize” theme for the year, “Blacklands” won the 2010 Golden Dagger for Crime Fiction.
