Johnny Illikainen, eighth grade, and Zoe Marcotte, sixth grade, both students at AuTrain-Onota Public Schools, in Alger County, have recently received awards for being chapter winners in the Onagomingkway Chapter, Marquette, of the National Society of Daughters of the American Revolution essay contest for American History. The topic this year pertained to the Mayflower and students were to write an essay specific to the voyage and how they would prepare for it.
