Paul Harris Fellows recognized
Anna Dravland, founder of “Spread Goodness Day,” and Tom Lakenen, creator of Lakenenland, were recently recognized as Paul Harris Fellows for their contributions to the community by John and Marny Weting at a meeting of the Rotary Club of Marquette. The recognition is named after Paul Harris who founded Rotary International in Chicago in 1905. It has grown to 1.2 million in 35,000 clubs across the world. Recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow honors the recipient for exemplifying the motto of Rotary, “Service Above Self.” The recognition enables the Rotary Foundation to pursue its mission to advance world understanding, goodwill and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education and the alleviation of poverty.
