Pictured, Lance Peterson (left) holds a plaque along with John Thomas, Exalted Ruler of the Negaunee Elks Lodge #1116. The plaque memorializes a donation to the Elks in loving memory of Jim Kivisto, by his family and friends. Kivisto was a sergeant with the 3rd battalion, 21st Artillery, stationed in Kitzingen, Germany. His Army buddies wanted to do something to honor his memory, so they donated to the Elks along with Kivisto’s family. The plaque will hang in the Negaunee lodge in Kivisto’s honor.
