Beacon House leadership team meet at building site

Members of the Beacon House leadership team recently gathered at the site where the new Steve Mariucci Family Beacon House will be built, along with a recent donor to the campaign. The land, 1.8 acres on Seventh and Spring streets, was acquired from UP Health System for $1 at the end of December. Plans to break ground for the new Beacon House in the spring are dependent upon reaching their $3 million goal in pledges and donations. With the recent donation of $100,000 by Warren and Lezle Vonck, they are currently at $2.8 million with $200,000 to go. Donations and pledges can be made through the website, upbeaconhouse.org or calling 906-225-7100.
