Ishpeming High School competes in High School Bowl

The Ishpeming Hematites played the Wakefield-Marenisco Cardinals in the first round of High School Bowl and won by a score of 220-60. Forty schools from the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin field teams for WNMU-TV’s High School Bowl tournament, now celebrating 42 years on the air. Ishpeming will advance to the second round when they play Marquette in Game 26, scheduled to air on Feb. 8. Running from November through the championship game in April, the High School Bowl series airs on WNMU-TV Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Mondays at 3 p.m. Find more information on the 2019-2020 tournament at wnmutv.nmu.edu.
