MADISON, Wis. — Attorney Jacob P. Spear, of Republic, was sworn in as a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin on July 17. Spear has been a member of the State Bar of Michigan since 2015.

He is a member of the Michigan State Bar’s Elder Law and Disability Rights Section, as well as the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

He is an associate with the law firm, Sturgul & Long S.C., which has offices in Marquette, Iron Mountain, Hancock, Hurley and Ashland. He focuses his practice on elder law and estate planning issues.

He serves on the Republic-Michigamme School Board and the Board of Directors for Camp STAR.
