Clickner receives MEDA award

The Michigan Economic Developers Association held its Annual Meeting at the Holiday Inn in Marquette. The 2019 recipient of the Mike Conboy Professional Development Award was Amy Clickner, CEcD, CFRM, chief executive officer, Lake Superior Community Partnership. Amy, pictured left, started in economic development more than 20 years ago as the only employee of LSCP, where she is now the CEO with a staff of nine. During that time, Amy has become a Certified Economic Developer through the International Economic Development Council and a certified fundraising manager through the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University. She is a past president of MEDA, a current board member, serves on MEDA’s Advocacy Committee and was the 2019 Annual Meeting Committee chair, successfully leading the committee to breaking the record for sponsorship support. Amy also serves on the board of directors of the IEDC, is the chair of the IEDC Planning and Business Development Committee, IEDC Governance Committee, is the immediate past chair of Economic Development Research Partners and the immediate past chair of the Northern Michigan Chamber Alliance.
