The Rotary Club of Ishpeming donated $1,000 towards the Ishpeming Middle School sixth grade “Water for Sudan” service project. These students raised money for a water well to benefit a Sudanese village they learned about in class after their Humanity teachers had them read the book “A Long Walk to Water.” These students demonstrate our Rotary motto of “Service Above Self” and how a small community like ours can still have an impact across the world.
