Marquette County Quilters’ Association has made donations of stuffed animals wrapped with small handmade quilts as well as zippered purses also sewn by guild members to organizations who serve children and teens in need. Other organizations receiving donations from MCQA during the holiday season were the Salvation Army in Gwinn, Ishpeming, and Marquette; St. Vincent dePaul in Marquette and Ishpeming; and the Chocolay Township Police Department. This charity project was funded in part by a grant from the Rotary Club of Marquette.
