ISHPEMING — On behalf of Bell Auxiliary, the Greater Ishpeming-Negaunee Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the donation of $5,000 from Bell Auxiliary to the Portage Health Foundation.

The money will go to the flood relief effort in Houghton County.

Bell Auxiliary is dedicated to helping others in the community, and the recent donation to the Portage Health Foundation is further geographically than past donations.

Julie Solka, coordinator and auxiliary liaison, said, “I am pleased to announce that Bell Auxiliary has donated $5,000 to Portage Health Foundation for the flood relief effort. We hope that this will assist in the relief efforts that we see going on through the media. Thanks also to the Just Believe team for donating sunscreen that will be brought up to the communities for their volunteers & residents.”
