The Rotary Club of Marquette continues its support of the Upper Peninsula Honor Flight which takes WWII, Korea, and Vietnam era veterans to Washington DC to view monuments. President Frank Lenz presents a contribution of $1,000 to Scott Knauf, chair of the group. The group has sent 991 veterans to DC since 2011 on 13 flights. Flights are in May and September. They are full until September of 2019, but eligible veterans are encouraged to submit applications to get on the waiting list. Aged veterans will be given priority.
