Aspen Ridge Elementary School students are shown at an assembly to kick-off March is Reading Month. “Olaf” read to the student body after which Principal Chris Marana outlined some of the activities the students would be involved in. Included are a daily drawing for reading minutes, making bookmarks, read a hat and shirt days, reading to the principal and a Read-o-Rama Family Literacy Night. The month of activities will culminate in a drawing for a bicycle. Marana challenged the student body to read for 100,000 minutes. If they can achieve this, a representative from each grade would get an opportunity to put a pie in the principal’s face at the closing assembly.
