The first-grade class at Aspen Ridge School in Ishpeming Township poses with gifts for the “giving tree” at the school Tuesday. The giving tree allows the school’s needy kids and their families to write needed and wished-for items on decorative balls, which are then hung on the tree. Aspen Ridge’s first grade-class spent $210 of their money they bearned to purchase gifts for families on the giving tree.
