Birgiolas joins Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates

Spine Pain Diagnostics Associates would like to announce the addition of Dr. John Birgiolas to their staff. Dr. Birgiolas received his Medical degree from St. George University in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Birgiolas went on to do his Anesthesiology Residency and a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Management at the University of Kentucky.

As an undergraduate student at the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Birgiolas’ focus was on Pain Psychology which he found very fascinating. It was at that time that he volunteered as a Physiotherapy assistant where he was introduced to a Pain Management Physician who inspired him to pursue the specialty of Interventional Pain Management. This would enable him to be on the front lines of diagnosing and managing pain.

Dr. Birgiolas will tell you that he and his wife chose to move to the Upper Peninsula because of the ease in building lasting patient doctor relationships in rural areas. “The atmosphere here is inviting, humble, friendly, and family oriented. My wife and I are very active so it also helps that we are surrounded by beautiful landscapes that we can utilize in any season.” Even though many people have warned him about the U.P. winters he is sure that he will be fine with snow up to his chin as he was born and raised in Canada, and snow like that is second nature to him.

Dr. Birgiolas is known as a skilled, compassionate and understanding provider who is willing to work with his patients in order to maximize their functional level and help manage their pain. If you or someone you know is in pain and would like to see Dr. Birgiolas or one of the physicians at Spine Pain Diagnostics, call 888.PAIN DRS and make an appointment today. No referral needed. Take the first step to a better future.
