Iron, Dickinson counties report vaccine rates
IRON MOUNTAIN — More than half of residents older than 65 in Dickinson and Iron counties have now received both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, local health officials reported.
The highest percentage to complete the vaccine series locally was 57.6%, or 1,821, in Dickinson County for ages 65 to 74, according to the Dickinson-Iron District Health Department.
In Iron County, the best completion rate also came among ages 65 to 74 at 53.7%, or 1,040.
Among Dickinson County’s entire population age 16 and older, 34.1%, or 7,095, have started the vaccinations and 23.8%, or 4,958, have completed the series.
Among Iron County’s entire population age 16 and older, 38.2%, or 3,607, had started the vaccinations and 27.3%, or 2,469, have completed the series.
