Trooper treated after crash
A trooper from the Michigan State Police Sault Ste. Marie Post was involved in an on-duty crash with another vehicle near 3 Mile Road and M-129 Highway in Soo Township, according to an MSP news release. The crash occurred at approximately 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. The trooper was responding to a hold-up alarm at a local government building. While en route, the trooper was hit by another vehicle attempting to turn into a private driveway. The trooper was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at War Memorial Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie. The occupants of the other vehicle refused any medical attention. The incident remains under investigation, according to the release. (Photos by the Michigan State Police)
