GLADSTONE — A Powers woman died in a fatal accident early Tuesday morning, according to the Michigan State Police Gladstone Post.

MSP said that troopers were dispatched to the intersection of Menominee County Road 563 and Tower Road in Spalding Township shortly before 3 a.m. for a motor vehicle that crashed into a residence.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Tower at a high rate of speed when the vehicle went through the intersection at CR 563, left the roadway and struck a mobile home.

The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, Natalie Dombrowski, 21, of Powers, was transported from the scene to be airlifted to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries before she could be airlifted.

The owner of the residence was home at the time of the crash but was not injured.

Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the accident, which still is under investigation.
