Help at a time of need

Mo waves the next vehicle forward as teachers and administration from the Escanaba Area Public Schools wait to place boxes in vehicles with breakfast and lunch items, some of which can be seen at left. Superintendent Coby Fletcher said several thousand meals, 850 boxes, were recently packed and distributed Friday in the Escanaba High School west side parking lot. Parents of students who receive free breakfast and lunch under the Community Eligibility Provision program are able to pick up the meals. Curb side pickup of food items will be available again Monday. (Photo by Deborah Prescott, Escanaba Daily Press)
