Two arrested on meth charges
CASPIAN — Two suspects have been arrested following a Friday investigation involving the manufacturing of methamphetamine in Iron County.
Early Friday morning, detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team conducted the investigation, which resulted in the execution of a search warrant at a Caspian residence where an active meth lab was located and remove by clandestine UPSET lab responders.
Two suspects, a 52-year-old male and a 44-year-old female, were arrested, with additional arrests pending. The names of the suspects were withheld pending their arraignment.
The investigation is ongoing.
UPSET was assisted by firefighters from the Caspian-Gaastra Fire Department and troopers from the Michigan State Police Iron Mountain Post.
