Found and lodged at The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter, which now is operating in its new building at 815 S. State Highway M553, Gwinn, were a white and smoke adult female Havanese cat found in Gwinn; an adult male coonhound with blue ticking found in Eben; an adult male domestic short-haired tabby found in Gwinn; and a white and brown female kitten found near the Northern Michigan University campus. Found and lodged at the Alger County Animal Shelter in Munising were an 11-year-old gray and white male cat; a 7-year-old brown tiger stripe male cat; a 10-year-old female calico cat; a buff and white male cat, age 1; a male orange and white cat, age 2; a brown tiger female cat, 12 years old; a 1-year-old gray female cat; a blind calico cat, age 2 and a half; a black female cat, age 2; a male hound mix, age 1; and a 1-year-old male bulldog-mastiff-pitbull mix.
