  • Tony Lamar Clark, 48, of 1960 U.S. 41 S., Marquette, pleaded guilty to attempted assault of prison employee, a felony punishable by up to two and one-half years jail and $2,500. The charge stems from a Jan. 16 incident. Clark was scheduled to be sentenced May 14.

Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for sentencing on April 16:

  • Nickalas S. Elliott, 24, of Marquette Branch Prison, was sentenced to two terms of three to 15 years jail and ordered to pay fines and costs of $266. Elliott was found guilty by jury March 3 on two counts of possessing a weapon.

Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for arraignment on April 17:

  • Alexander Bradley Carbonell, 27, of 204 West Ridge St., Apartment 1, Marquette, pleaded guilty to controlled substance-possession of analogues, with a punishment of up to two years jail and $2,000. The charge stems from a Jan. 11 incident. Carbonell was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.
  • Bryan Nathaniel Girard, 30, of 2640 County Road 456, in Gwinn, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, involving an incapacitated victim, a high court misdemeanor punishable by up to two years jail and $500. The charge stems from an Oct. 26, 2014, incident in Forsyth Township. Girard was scheduled to be sentenced May 15.
  • Steven Thomas Helwig, 30, of 1308 Western Ave., Green Bay, Wisconsin, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering a building with intent, a 10-year felony. The charge stems from a July 19, 2014, incident in Marquette. Helwig was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.
  • Kevin Leonard Houle, 41, of 212 Thunderchief, Gwinn, pleaded guilty to police officer-fleeing-third degree-vehicle code, punishable by up to five years jail and $1,000. The charge stems from a March 20 incident. Houle was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.
  • Mark Joseph Jylha, 20, of 1230 Center St., Apartment 7, Marquette, pleaded guilty to attempted assault with a dangerous weapon, a misdemeanor punishable by up to two years jail and $2,000. The charge stems from a Dec. 28, 2014, incident. Jylha was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.
  • Bradley Scott Merrills, 24, of 640 Greenwood St., Ishpeming, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy, a felony punishable by up to 10 years jail and $15,000. The charge stems from a March 2 incident. Merrills was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.
  • Brodie John Smith, 23, of 416 Cherry Creek Road, Marquette, pleaded guilty to possession of analogues, a felony punishable by up to two years jail and $2,000. The charge stems from a Sept. 21, 2014, incident. Smith was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.
  • Daniel James Tonge, 37, of 417 Greenwood St., No. 2, in Ishpeming, pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine/ecstasy, a felony punishable by up to 10 years jail and $15,000. The charge stems from a March 2 incident. Tonge was scheduled to be sentenced May 22.

Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for sentencing on April 17:

  • Joseph Michael Domako, 25, of 19816 Rosedale, St. Clair Shores, was sentenced to 86 days jail with credit for 86 days served and ordered to pay fines and costs of $598. Domako pleaded guilty March 6 to financial transaction device – retain without consent.
  • William Henry Toyra Jr., 43, of 15651 M-35, Rock, was sentenced to two years and nine months to 15 years jail with credit for 15 days served and ordered to pay fines and costs of $4,877.29. Toyra pleaded no contest March 10 to operating under the influence causing death.
  • Aaron Max Wesolek, 25, of 831 Northland Drive, Marquette, was sentenced to 300 days jail with credit for 15 days served, given 60 months probation and ordered to pay fines and costs of $798. Wesolek pleaded guilty Jan. 26 to one count of assault with intent of sexual penetration.

Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for arraignment on April 24:

  • Brandon Lee Konsdorf, 25, of Marquette Branch Prison, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted prisons – possessing weapons, with a punishment of up to two and a half years in prison and $1,000. The charge stems from a Sept. 14, 2014, incident. Konsdorf was scheduled to be sentenced May 28.
  • Michael Scott Laitinen, 40, of 717 Prince St., Negaunee, pleaded no contest to assault with a dangerous weapon, punishable by up to four years jail and $2,000. The charge stems from a Dec. 9, 2014, incident. Laitinen was scheduled to be sentenced June 5.
  • Armando Logan Ruiz, 29, of 339 Commando St., Gwinn pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct – involving a person between the ages of 13 and 15, a 15-year felony. The charge stems from a Dec. 29, 2013, incident. Ruiz was scheduled to be sentenced June 5.
  • Cody James Sormunen, 19, 173 County Road KCI, Marquette, pleaded guilty to second-degree home invasion, punishable by up to 15 years jail and $3,000. The charge stems from a Feb. 28 incident in Chocolay Township. Sormunen was scheduled to be sentenced June 5.

Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for sentencing on April 24:

  • Michael Paul Hill, 32, of 474 Green Garden Road, Marquette, was sentenced to three to 20 years jail with credit for 111 days served, and ordered to pay fines and costs of $198. Hill pleaded guilty March 6 to one count of operating/maintaining laboratory involving a controlled substance.
  • Michael Thomas Lyons, 20, of 57 Forest Drive, Negaunee, was sentenced to 60 days jail with credit for six days served, given 18 months probation and ordered to pay fines and costs of $398. Lyons pleaded guilty March 9 to attempt-weapons-carry concealed.

Appearing before Judge Jennifer Mazzuchi for sentencing on April 30:

  • Devontae T. Johnson, 23, of Marquette Branch Prison, was sentenced to one year to two years and six months jail added on to current term and ordered to pay fines and costs of $198. Johnson pleaded guilty March 19 to attempt prison-possession of weapon.
  • Steven Michael Stagliano, 25, of 251 Helmsdeorfer Road, Negaunee, was sentenced to 360 days jail with credit for 150 days served, given 24 months probation and ordered to pay fines and costs of $1,098. Stagliano pleaded guilty April 24 to one count of third degree home invasion.
