Missing woman’s items found

WAGNER, Wis. — Marinette County Sheriff Jerry Sauve reported that an extensive foot search with over 110 people on Sunday was successful in the search for Jeanette Fullerton, who was reported missing since Aug. 9, 2017 in Wagner, Wisconsin.

Sauve said one of the search teams located items of clothing and subsequently bones nearby that appear to be human. The clothing and footwear match what Fullerton was last seen wearing in 2017.

These items were found about two miles from her home and about a half mile through woods a swamp from where recent trail camera photos were discovered of Fullerton the morning she went missing.

The remains will be forensically examined for confirmation they are of the missing woman.

The Fullerton family, Wagner Fire Department and the sheriff’s office thank the volunteers for their assistance in the searches that have been conducted in the case, as well as local businesses and individuals who donated and prepared food for the search teams.

The case remains under investigation by the sheriffs office and medical examiner.
