BERRIEN SPRINGS — Honor Credit Union has announced the kickoff of its Annual Teacher Awards. Honor invites teachers to apply for the awards by explaining in 200 words or less how they would use additional funds to benefit their classroom and students. New this year, Honor Credit Union will award 30 teachers across its member center communities $500 towards their classroom, an increase in award value from previous years.

Winners can choose between a digital Amazon gift card or a check cut directly to their school. Applications are being accepted now to 11:59 p.m. Oct. 13. Winners will be notified on Nov. 10.
