Birding webinar for Michigan’s ‘Wetland Wonders’ scheduled for Tuesday night

MARQUETTE — A webinar titled “Off the Beaten Path: Birding at Michigan’s Wetland Wonders” is scheduled for 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

MI Birds, a program of Audubon Great Lakes and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, will provide the free event to educate people about Michigan’s Wetland Wonders.

The webinar will focus on special, off-the-beaten path places that aren’t frequently visited by bird watchers, despite being open to the public and offering a wide range of recreational opportunities.

Participants can learn what makes these areas important for birds and people, where they are located and which birds you can expect to find, so they can start planning their visit to a Wetland Wonder this spring.

Guest speakers will include Erin Ford, conservation manager of Michigan for Audubon Great Lakes, and Kaitlyn Barnes, DNR wildlife biologist.

Starting at $3.23/week.
