Calumet business cited for violating order

CALUMET — Cafe Rosetta in Calumet has been fined by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for violating the recent public health order, which was put in place to control the spread of COVID-19.

Cafe Rosetta, located at 102 Fifth St., was issued a penalty of up to $1,000 for each violation or day that a violaton continues, the State Emergency Operations Center said.

The order places restrictions on gatherings, including prohibiting gatherings of patrons in food service establishments such as restaurants and bars.
