ROCK RIVER — An 80-year-old Munising woman has died from injuries suffered in an Aug. 28 accident in Rock River Township in Alger County.

The Michigan State Police Negaunee Post said that at about 1:10 p.m. that day, troopers were dispatched to M-67 and Cold Springs Road on a report of a two-vehicle personal-injury crash.

An investigation revealed that a 2006 Ford Taurus, driven by Patricia Walther, 80, of Munising, pulled out in front of a 2018 Ford E-150 pickup driven by Robert Lindbeck, 52, of Munising.

Walther was transported by Alger County EMS to UPHS-Marquette for treatment, and later was pronounced deceased.

Lindbeck was not injured. Alcohol and drugs are not believed to be a factor in the crash.

Troopers were assisted on the scene by the Rock River Township Fire Department and Alger County EMS.
