Man receives head injury in vehicle-motorcycle accident
GLADSTONE — A man suffered a serious head injury in a Wednesday accident that involved a car and a motorcycle in Wells Township in Delta County.
The Michigan State Police Gladstone Post said that about 5:37 p.m. Wednesday, trooper were dispatched to the accident, which occurred at the intersection of U.S. 2/41 and I Road. Troopers said it appeared a vehicle failed to yield and crossed the highway in front of the motorcycle.
The motorcycle hit the vehicle broadside, and the driver received multiple injuries. He was not wearing a helmet and appeared to have a serious head injury.
The 67-year-old Wilson resident was airlifted to UPHS-Marquette.
The accident remains under investigation pending the motorcyclist’s condition.
Assisting the MSP were the Delta County Sheriff’s Office and Rampart EMS.
