MARQUETTE — A copper etching by artist Verna Depro of Marquette has been purchased by the annual Marshfield, Wis., Art Fair. “Cruising Angels” will be part of the permanent display in the Marshfield Clinic’s Nu Visions Gallery. The limited edition print is another in a long line of Depro’s hand-painted creations. Among other honors, Depro’s 1986 print called “Chickadee” was exhibited throughout the Lower Peninsula as part of the Michigan Sesquicentennial celebration. Her work is displayed at the Upper Peninsula Home Nursing Office on Fair Avenue in Marquette, which is open to the public.
