MICHIGAMME — Lauri Niemela, of the Northern Michigan College geography department, addressed the Spurr Township Parent-Teacher Association at its meeting this week. He showed slides of Finland and spoke on geographical facets of that country, basing his talk partly on his experiences while teaching at the University of Finland under a Fulbright grant. Niemela’s audience, largely of Finnish extraction, expressed appreciation of the slides and narration. Lunch was served by members of the PTA following the program.
