July 27

≤ 9:17 a.m., random bag left in front yard, possible drug material, property destroyed, 1000 block West Ridge Street

≤ 9:28 a.m., abandoned trailer parked in road for several months, tagged for abandonment, 100 block West Prospect Street

≤ 9:41 a.m., subjects surrounding injured bird, bird relocated into woods, 500 block Northland Drive

≤ 10:24 a.m., larceny of prescription drugs, 400 block West Washington Street

≤ 10:55 a.m., vehicle parked in handicapped parking, gone on arrival, 300 block West Washington Street

≤ 11:21 a.m., bag of tools found, 300 block North Lakeshore Boulevard

≤ 11:58 a.m., vehicle lockout, unable to gain entry, advised a key was en route, 4300 block M-553

≤ 12:07 p.m., assault, Wright Street near Longyear Avenue

≤ 12:25 p.m., vehicle parked in private lot, citation issued, 100 block West Bluff Street

≤ 12:58 p.m., landlord/tenant dispute, advice given, 200 block Fisher Street

≤ 1:37 p.m., individual on picnic table, possibly intoxicated, male turned over to EMS, 100 block South Third Street

≤ 3:54 p.m., non-traffic accident, 1300 South Front Street

≤ 4:44 p.m., motorist assistance, 100 block East Arch Street

≤ 7:45 p.m., learner’s permit violation, Presque Isle Avenue near Union Street

≤ 8:41 p.m., traffic sign damaged by unknown vehicle, several small car parts left in the area, Lincoln Avenue near Wright Street roundabout

≤ 9:28 p.m., possible breaking and entering in progress, officers called homeowner and advised, all OK, was a family member, 600 block Craig Street

≤ 9:33 p.m., warrant arrest, 800 block Preserve Drive

≤ 10:15 p.m., intoxicated subjects by dumpster, gone on arrival, 600 block Altamont Street

≤ 10:53 p.m., threats complaint, 1000 block South Lake Street

≤ 11:45 p.m., subjects on roof, off roof when officers arrived, no damage, owner did not want to pursue charges, 1100 block North Third Street

July 28

≤ 12:36 a.m., trespass complaint, intoxicated male removed and served a trespass letter, 100 block West Washington Street

≤ 1:06 a.m., loud party, verbal warning, 900 block West Kaye Avenue

≤ 1:48 a.m., intoxicated subject passed out, turned over to EMS, Washington Street near Third Street

≤ 2:14 a.m., hit-and-run property-damage accident, third party reported it, owner could not be located, 100 block South Third Street

≤ 2:29 a.m., operating while intoxicated arrest, lodged, 2000 block U.S. 41 West

≤ 5:37 a.m., two subjects outside talking loudly, area checked, gone on arrival, 200 block West Bluff Street

≤ 10:53 a.m., newer lawnmower sitting on corner, mower transported to cold storage, East College Avenue near Spruce Street

≤ 12:56 p.m., elderly female believes someone had been in her apartment, officer could not find anything suspicious, 1500 block West Ridge Street

≤ 1:39 p.m., subject driving electric wheelchair chair, assisted to the multi-use path, 2000 block U.S. 41 South

≤ 2:47 p.m., lockout, opened, 400 block Fisher Street

≤ 3:36 p.m., guitar stolen, 1000 block North Third Street

≤ 3:40 p.m., man in wheelchair, all OK, just taking a break, 1000 block South Lake Street

≤ 5:51 p.m., subject in motorized cart had a dead battery in multi-use path by Carp River, officer checked area, unable to locate, U.S. 41 near South Lake Street

≤ 6:04 p.m., lockout, opened, 1100 block West Washington Street

≤ 7:18 p.m., barking dog, no dog heard, residents advised of complaint, complainant called back and advised owners let the dog in prior to officer’s arrival, 600 block Mesnard Street

≤ 7:38 p.m., traffic accident, North Sixth Street near Bluff Street

≤ 7:59 p.m., retail fraud arrest, 1400 block O’Dovero Drive

≤ 9:33 p.m., smoke in house, fire alarm going off, food left on stove, 1000 block Second Street

≤ 9:46 p.m., complaint of smoke in area, unable to locate source, officer could smell odor of campfire, Wright Street near McClellan Avenue

≤ 10:17 p.m., subject walking in traffic, area checked, gone on arrival, U.S. 41 near West Main Street

≤ 10:51 p.m., assisted Northern Michigan University Public Safety with assault complaint, 1400 block Presque Isle Avenue

≤ 11:34 p.m., loud subjects having party in parking lot, spoke with four subjects, warning given, 600 block Altamont Street

July 29

≤ 12:36 a.m., abandoned scooter, officers assisted owner earlier in the day, owner might have gotten ride home, Chocolay Township Police Department checked on subject, owner fine, was to pick up scooter the next day, U.S. 41 near Lake Street

≤ 1:30 a.m., operating while intoxicated-second arrest, lodged, North Third Street near West Arch Street

≤ 1:38 a.m., intoxicated subject passed out, transported by EMS, 100 block West Main Street

≤ 2:23 a.m., female passed out, transported by EMS, South Fourth Street near West Washington Street

≤ 2:28 a.m., operating while intoxicated arrest, South Front Street near West Hampton Street

≤ 3:39 a.m., male subjecting attempting to flag down cars, Wright Street near Lincoln Avenue

≤ 4:47 a.m., dog for pick-up, taken to Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter, 500 block Hillside Drive

≤ 8:15 a.m., blocked driveway, citation issued, 300 block West Crescent Street

≤ 9:02 a.m., report of person walking many dogs by tents at Art on the Rocks, causing a disturbance, unable to locate, 200 block Lakeshore Boulevard

≤ 10:06 a.m. unresponsive subject on multi-use path, sleeping, refused medical treatment, South Seventh Street near West Washington Street

≤ 11:13 a.m., electric wheelchair of subject, who police spoke with July 28, remained in same location, unable to contact owner, wheelchair taken to cold storage, 1000 block South Lake Street

≤ 11:17 a.m., person camping in van, person advised of camping locations in city, Mount Marquette Road

≤ 11:54 a.m., dog in vehicle in distress, upon arrival, all of the vehicle’s windows were rolled down, dog appeared fine, unfounded, 1900 block U.S. 41 West

≤ 11:56 a.m., key fob found on beach, 500 block Lakeshore Boulevard

≤ 1:20 p.m., reports of people with aggressive dogs, unable to keep them under control, dogs were found leashes and acting appropriately, 200 block Lakeshore Boulevard
