MARQUETTE — Firefighters from three departments responded to a brush fire at Park Street Cemetery in the city of Marquette early Sunday morning, containing the blaze to an approximately 30-by-30-foot area, according to Marquette City Fire Department battalion chief Benjamin Wilder. Extension of road closure noted
MARQUETTE — The Marquette County Road Commission, along with MJ VanDamme, Inc., has announced an extension of the closure of Marquette County Road CD in Ely Township, approximately 0.80 miles west of Marquette County Road 581 at its crossing with Green Creek. The extension is due to culvert replacement work. The closure, originally scheduled to end on Oct. 12, 2026, will remain in effect until Nov. 2, 2026. Motorists must continue using the signed detour route.
