Emma Smart of Marquette has been chosen by the Onagomingkway chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution as this year's Outstanding Junior. Smart was chosen as she has helped out with two Fourth of July parades this summer, has participated in a nationwide playing of Taps on Memorial Day, has written holiday cards to deployed service members and helps to keep roads sides clean while out for family walks. Here, Onagomingkway chapter Regent Heather Modell presents Smart with her certificate at a recent meeting. (Courtesy photo)
