ISHPEMING -- Tickets are now on sale for a first of its kind event to help kick off the Ishpeming Kristkindl Markt this holiday season while also recognizing one special volunteer.
The Ishpeming Kriskindl Cheermeister's Ball will take place Thursday, Nov. 12 at the historic Mather. Tickets are open to the public and can be purchased at ishkindlmarkt.com/cheermeister. Proceeds go back to supporting the Upper Peninsula's first European-style Christmas market.
In addition to hor d’oeuvres, cash bar and music by IronTown Brass, guests will get the first taste of the Cheermeister Ale, a collaboration with Upper Hand Brewery. The highlight of the evening will be the naming of the first ever Ishpeming Cheermeister, an individual who spreads cheer year-round, inspires others and help make our community a better place.
Our inaugural Christmas market will take place in downtown Ishpeming Nov. 27-28 and then again Dec. 4-5 in the parking lot of the historic Mather. Additional information and updates can be found on the event's website, www.ishkindlmarkt.com and their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/IshKindl.
