MUNISING -- State police are investigating the theft of a commercial type telescope valued at $625 from the Alger County tourist park, located near Miner's Castle. Police say that Arthur Dausey, Christmas, owner of the Christmas Amusement Co., reported the telescope was missing at 10 Thursday morning. The device was used by visitors for viewing Miner's Castle and Lake Superior. Vandals broke the telescope loose from its stand, but did not take a coin box containing money or a timing device attached to the stand.
