HARVEY -- Silver Creek Church and Silver Creek Thrift are partnering with Feeding America West Michigan to host a Mobile Food Pantry Thursday, in Harvey.
The food distribution will take place at Silver Creek Church, 219 Silver Creek Road, beginning at 10 a.m. Food will be distributed while supplies last or until 11:30 a.m.
Organizers expect food to be available for approximately 600 families.
The event will be conducted as a drive-through distribution. Parking lot attendants will provide directions and help guide vehicles through the distribution area.
Guests are asked to remain in their vehicles and prepare adequate space in their trunk or back seat ahead of time. Food boxes will be placed directly into vehicles by members of the distribution team.
The monthly mobile food pantries are made possible through community support. Businesses and organizations interested in helping with future distributions through monetary donations or volunteer assistance are encouraged to contact Kay Bammert at 906-249-1715 for more information.
