PARADISE -- On Sept. 25, Michigan Department of Natural Resources staff made a special visit to Tahquamenon Falls State Park to celebrate an incredible milestone -- they were there to meet with Kim and Jake, the holders of the DNR’s 1 millionth camp night reservation of 2026.
Surprised right at their campsite, the couple was greeted by staff and gifted baskets with local goodies, including a $150 state park and harbor gift card. Long-time visitors to Tahquamenon Falls, Kim and Jake especially love camping during the Harvest Festival, which just so happened to be that same weekend.
