MARQUETTE -- Officials with the city of Marquette have announced Lakeview Arena's public skating hours. Skating started on Monday.
The public skating schedule can be impacted by tournaments and holidays. On Saturday, Sept. 19 and Saturday, Sept. 26 there will be no public skate due to the Ainsley's Halo and Stick it to Cancer hockey tournaments.
Here is the schedule:
• Drop-In Curling Sundays 7-10:30 p.m.
• Drop-In Figure Skating Monday-Friday 9-9:50 a.m.
• Preschool/Parent & Senior Citizens Monday-Friday 10-11:20 a.m.
• Drop-In Hockey Monday-Friday 11:30 a.m.-12:50 p.m.
• Drop-In Hockey (evening, age 18-plus) Thursday 9:30-11:00 p.m.
• Public Skate (all ages) Monday-Sunday 1-2:50 p.m.
• Senior Skate (55 & older) Friday 7-8:30 p.m. begins Oct. 16
Skating is free to Marquette city, Marquette Township, Chocolay Township, and Powell Township senior residents. Some dates are excluded. See Marquette Senior Center for schedule.
