Pike Distributors celebrates grand opening of new Marquette office, warehouse

MARQUETTE - The Lake Superior Community Partnership assisted Pike Distributors with a ribbon-cutting celebration for its new Marquette office and warehouse on Thursday, at 102 Ryan Road, in Marquette.
The grand opening marks an exciting new chapter for the 89-year-old, third-generation family business as it prepares to celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2027. Family, employees, community members, and business partners gathered to commemorate the milestone and recognize Pike Distributors’ longstanding commitment to serving retailers and communities throughout Michigan’s Upper Peninsula.
Construction on the new facility began in the spring of 2025. Demonstrating the company’s hands-on approach, Pike Distributors employees completed the site excavation themselves, hauling all of the dirt and clay off-site using three trucks purchased specifically for the project. Midwest Construction completed the building in April after a six-month build. Siblings Jack Ketvirtis and Sarah Ketvirtis own Pike Distributors and represent the company’s third generation of family leadership, following their father, Joe Ketvirtis, and grandfather, Stanley Ketvirtis.
arah, a graduate of the University of Michigan and Northwestern University, is a partner in the family business and continues the tradition of local leadership that has guided the company for nearly nine decades. Jack, a graduate of Northern Michigan University, leads the business’s growth and expansion, focusing on growing together, continually improving, and building lasting relationships.
“For three generations, our family has built Pike Distributors around a commitment to excellent service and valued partnerships with our retailers and communities,” said the Ketvirtis family. “This new office and warehouse represent both a celebration of where we’ve been and an investment in where we’re headed.”
Pike Distributors serves seven counties across the Upper Peninsula through its three distribution centers located in Gladstone, Newberry and Marquette. The company is supported by its sister company, Pike Transport, Inc., a family-owned trucking company based in Gladstone that has over 50 semis providing transportation services across the United States. Pike Transport, Inc. moves product to and from the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin.
The new Marquette facility reflects Pike Distributors’ continued investment in the region and its dedication to providing reliable distribution and transportation services for customers across the Upper Peninsula.
