Earl E. Byrds brings all-day breakfast to downtown Marquette

MARQUETTE - The Lake Superior Community Partnership assisted Earl E. Byrds in celebrating the grand opening of its new Marquette location and additional seating on Sept. 16, at 102 W. Washington St., #115, in downtown Marquette.

Originally opened in Munising in December 2021, Earl E. Byrds expanded to Marquette on Aug. 25, bringing its all-day breakfast and lunch menu to the downtown community.

The menu features hearty breakfast skillets, classic breakfast favorites, sandwiches and burgers made with local beef. Earl E. Byrds also works with several local partners, including Case Country Farm and LaBar Poultry Farm.

Guests can enjoy the restaurant’s signature Earl E. Byrds Breakfast Blend, a custom roast created by Gallery Coffee Company in Munising. Bags of the coffee are also available for purchase at the restaurant.

Deployed Capital owns Earl E. Byrds, a local, veteran-owned hospitality company with a growing presence across the Upper Peninsula. Its local portfolio includes The Brownstone Inn in Au Train, Tracey’s, Roam Inn, Eh! Burger, Slabz Bar & Grill, which opened in Marquette in 2024 and Gallery Coffee Company, which is also preparing to open a second Marquette location.

Restaurant Manager Ty Codd credited the Earl E. Byrds team with helping make the Marquette opening smooth.

"Because of the top-notch experience and dedication of the team, this has been one of the easiest restaurant openings I’ve ever been a part of," Codd said. "It was operating like a well-oiled machine right from the jump."
