MARQUETTE -- Area veterinarians recently met at the Landmark Inn for a town hall with the Michigan State University Dean of Veterinary Medicine Kimberly Dodd and Michigan Veterinary Medical Association CEO Bonnifer Ballard.
Veterinarians, vet techs, pre-veterinary medicine students and other professionals in the veterinary field convened from across the U.P. and beyond, from as far as Appleton, Wisconsin, to attend the event.
Topics covered included telehealth medicine, a new associates degree at MSU in Veterinary Nursing (MSU's first ever associates degree) and specific concerns with serving rural communities.
