BARAGA -- The Baraga County Chamber of Commerce is looking for a, well, few good members to fill upcoming openings on its board of directors.
This is an excellent opportunity for chamber members to help shape the future of their local business community while maintaining a manageable time commitment.
Chamber officials said the board meets 10 times per year, always on the second Wednesday from 8:30-9:30 a.m. These morning meetings ensure participation does not interfere with evening commitments or family time.
Board service is open to anyone affiliated with a chamber member, whether through your workplace or an organization you volunteer with. If you are not currently affiliated with a member, consider purchasing an individual chamber membership and becoming part of the team that strengthens Baraga County's business environment.
Chamber officials encourage local employers to consider sending a representative as board participation is a meaningful way to stay connected, informed and engaged in countywide business initiatives.
Those interested in serving or learning more should contact the chamber at baragacountychamber@gmail.com or call the office at 906-353-8808.
