MANISTIQUE -- The Manistique Area Tourist Council has announced its first photograph contest, "Capture the Spirit of Manistique." Visitors and residents are invited to submit pictures taken in the Manistique area or nearby attractions that tell the story of Manistique.
"We are excited to receive pictures that celebrate the beauty of Manistique," said Connie Diller secretary-treasurer of the MATC. "We know the unique spirit of Manistique and will share the photographer's vision to inspire others to experience it for themselves."
There will be a winning photo selected in each of the 12 categories. Categories include ATV and winter adventures, lighthouses, beaches, lakes and sunsets, fishing, hiking and more.
As the photographs are submitted they will be shared on Facebook at Manistique Tourism Council page: https://www.facebook.com/manistiquetourism. The overall winning image will become the cover photo of the 2027 Manistique Visitors Guide.
The grand prize includes a weekend getaway at Manistique Sands, breakfast, lunch and dinner for two days and will also be featured on Visit Manistique’s website and Facebook page.
The contest runs from July 1 to March 31, 2027. An upload form and full contest rules are available at visitmanistique.com.
